Fencing the Forest

It's thrilling to see the fencing so far along! We're doing wood beams and then will wrap wire fencing intended to keep at bay both rabbits (small holes at the bottom) and deer (tall). Though the kids don't enjoy the prospect of heading outside to help in the cold weather, I remind them frequently that this type of project helps them learn to build things for themselves when they grow up to be men. How lucky they are to have a dad who takes the time to include them and teach as they go. Yes, it's forced labor. Someday I know they will be grateful for it.
